Weihegold wins the Grand Prix in Omaha

Isabell Werth & Madeleine Winter-Schulze

World Cup Finals in the United States are always something special. The specators just LOVE the show, they applaud during the thests when a movement goes especially well, and at the price givings, there is no stopping them. While Weihegold is usually not easily fazed at any show, this level of enthusiasm did come as a bit of a suprprise to her yesterday. Fortunately I do have two days now until the finals on Saturday to familiarize her again with the arena and help her restore that inner balance that makes this horse so unique.
We could win the Grand Prix yesterday, and now we’re looking forward to a finale that promises lots of suspense.
