As cold 
as it’s been in Münster, Amsterdam, Neumünster, being able to finally feel some warming sun is wonderful for a change: The CHI Al Shaqab in Doha is a welcome oasis in a grey winter — the flight isn’t much longer than a lorry trip to any European show, and the conditions for horses and riders are five star level indeed.
Johnny proved to be reliable once more. We were able to win the Grand Prix as well as the Freestyle in the incredible arena; he was very focussed and presented himself in his best athletic form under the Arabian sun.
The only thing that really isn’t his cup of tea is smiling for the camera, so Steffi and I had to do that for him when we took our selfie in the stable 🙂
